Tuscaloosa Academy

Why Tuscaloosa Academy

Middle school. Keeping
learning cool.

It’s the vulnerable age, the crucial time between childhood and maturity. Where enthusiasm can flag as the student seeks independence and tries to define who he is as a person.

That’s when the vision of Tuscaloosa Academy becomes so important in your child’s development. For, to us, middle school does so much more than simply usher the student from elementary school into high school.

Instead, we build on the important lessons of elementary school, and find ways for each student to find his place. With multiple approaches and individual mentoring, we avoid the lockstep approach that stultifies and frustrates even the brightest student. And we strive to make every lesson innovating and involving—delighting the intellect everyday.

And by sustaining a joy of learning, we help set the stage for even greater things ahead.
