Tuscaloosa Academy

Why Tuscaloosa Academy

Potential.
Realized.

The educated child. Is he merely the sum total of theorems and facts? Or does he possess a mastery of the world itself?

At Tuscaloosa Academy, we believe your child’s education should reach far beyond his standardized tests. Instead, we offer a different philosophy: Your child is not ready for the world until he is equipped with a complete understanding of it, and the character to cope with its challenges.

We’re Tuscaloosa’s only true college preparatory school, marrying rigorous academics with our belief in life beyond the classroom. As a result, we create an environment where 80% of our student body participates in extracurricular activities, allowing the richest possible experience and growth. And, because we understand the importance of family, our Pre-K through 12 program allows siblings in your family to see each other throughout the day. All so we can nurture the spirit while we feed the mind.

It’s a philosophy that reaps rewards far beyond our 30 National Merit Finalists, Semifinalists, and Commended scholars. It’s a philosophy that has sent our graduates to prestigious colleges throughout the country.

Do you believe in education? Do you believe in your child? Then believe in Tuscaloosa Academy. For we do more than simply educate. We help your child as fully as possible to his promise.
